Now you’ve got the opportunity to relive a historical journey as if you were in the roaring 20’s on the Luxury Train.
This train was built between 1926 and 1930 in different garages in England, France and Spain and acquired by RENFE in 1988 to repair it and create a luxury train with 145 seats. On its reconstruction it was remodeled inside, maintaining the aesthetic of the 20’s but with today’s convenience and comfort.
During Madrid Hotel Week you have the exclusive opportunity to access to this marvellous journey thanks to Mastercard’s programme: Priceless Cities. The experience starts in the Príncipe Pío train station, where the train will depart to the beautiful city of Aranjuez, on board you’ll enjoy a cocktail-breakfast. Once you arrive there you’ll make a one hour guided-visit of the Palace of Aranjuez.
On your way back, in the Luxury Train, they’ll serve you a meal specially prepared for the occasion.
Of course, during the journey you’ll see all the different coaches of this unique train, visiting the kitchen, the theatre, the sleeping car and the dining car. Everything a hotel has to offer you but in a train. An incredible journey.
It’s a unique opportunity to experience how trains worked like true hotels during that time, with everything on board and not a single detail missing.
